Massing is a sculptural ceramic object composed of tightly packed, vertically orientated volumes. Pressed against one another, the forms suggest shifting tectonic plates, yet can equally evoke human bodies drawn together by a shared attraction.

The title refers to the coming together of like-minded forces: a gathering of forms, energies and spirits. Shades of blue, purple and black create a deep, atmospheric colour palette that reinforces the sense of density and connection.

A compact and tactile work, Massing explores the idea of togetherness.

Materials Stoneware with glazes on engobes, and fired in a wood kiln.
